Mrbubblez Inc.

Mrbubblez is a service-based organization with a purpose to provide a safe and secure facility for homeless and at-risk of becoming homeless families and individuals to take a hot shower when given the opportunity.


Working Women of Tampa Bay

Their mission is to provide funding and resources to women small businesses in Tampa Bay. They do that through seed money and mentoring programs. Our donation helps support women business owners who need things for their businesses. They usually ask for items like: marketing materials, signage, graphic design and website services, etc.


Family Healthcare Foundation

FHF’s mission is to be the trusted leader in our community, ensuring equitable access to high- quality healthcare for all in the Tampa Bay Area. Their Healthcare Navigators frequently assist with navigating other benefits, like SNAP/WIC applications. Their clients are currently experiencing long delays in approval for those applications.


HERS FOOD PANTRY

Their mission is to support the dietary and hygiene needs of the needy and food insecure in a culturally competent and compatible manner by running a FOOD PANTRY in Dunedin and New Port Richey. Every month they pack and distribute ten staple items BULK SIZES such as rice, sugar, flour, lentils, pasta, beans, eggs, bread, foul, and halal meat to families. They also add a one-month supply of feminine hygiene pads for each female in a family.

Wheels of Success

Wheels of Success is dedicated to providing personal transportation solutions by partnering with the community to keep people working and sustain their independence. They work by providing reliable transportation through a program of car repairs, vehicle replacement, related licensing services, car payments, down payments and car-care classes. Deserving clients pay discounted rates (over time, interest free) for car repairs or cars.


L.E.A.D.

Law Enforcement Against Drugs (L.E.A.D.) is an organization supported by dedicated police officers, committed to protecting our youth and communities from the proliferation of drugs, drug related crimes, peer to peer/cyber bullying and violence. The 10 week instructional program is delivered by police officers and teachers to local students.


USF Urban Food Sovereignty Group

The USF Urban Food Sovereignty Group’s mission is to figure out how to end the need to hand out food at all and promote “food sovereignty”, which is is the right of people to healthy and culturally appropriate food produced through ecologically sound and sustainable methods, and their right to define their own food and agriculture systems. They explore growing different types of herbs and vegetables, learn about bee populations, local ecosystems, and much more through collaborating on student-led garden plots at the USF Botanical Gardens. Students can take courses such as Agrarianism and the Sacred, Rooted in Place, or Food Justice.


Universal Academy of Florida

The school is in the process of becoming the first Islamic school in the region to become STEM certified. The grant goes towards transitioning their computer lab into a technology lab that would create 25 work stations with IT and technical capabilities to provide classes in virtual reality, computer science classes, and digital marketing.

Pace Center for Girls

Pace center creates a safe and nurturing space for at risk middle and high school girls who have experienced trauma by using education and counseling to break the cycle of poverty. Coupled with academic and clinical counseling to identify the source of trauma to create a care plan, including parent/guardian, girls from under resourced communities are provided educational classes. They conduct daily elective courses to learn skills like communication, conflict resolution, resume writing and financial literacy. They also provide the opportunity to take college tours. Funds would go directly to their Pace Works Program to continue overnight college tours and career days which provides direct exposure for career development.


The Outreach Free Clinic and Resource Center

This clinic in Brandon provides primary healthcare to low income and uninsured residents of Hillsborough county. They see about 1400 patients per year. Operating 4 days per week with volunteer physicians and other providers who dedicate their time for free. There is a pharmacy on site to provide free medications. They also have resources for lab work and diagnostic studies. The clinic is entirely funded by individual donations and grants.


The Raptor Center of Tampa Bay

The Raptor Center of Tampa Bay is a non-profit organization that is working to build a wildlife rehabilitation facility in Hillsborough County FL with a focus on birds of prey. They provide teaching and guidance to the general public about conservation issues and increase public awareness of wildlife. They have rehabilitated over 10,000 animals. The organization is run by 130 volunteers, fully funded by donations.


Maan Academy

This part time Arabic and Quran program utilizes the Montessori method to provide a positive language learning experience. Sensory immersive experience is provided by trained teachers in an inviting environment.

TRIBE OF SEMINOLE HEIGHTS

TRIBE was founded in 2019 and is a nonprofit community center that integrates unique learning experiences, family support, and strategic outreach. They do this by providing low cost, easy to manage activities for children, as well as free clothing and shoes. TRIBE is a community partner at two title one elementary schools. TRIBE is grass roots funded, and the grant will be used to cover their budget shortfall for this year so they can continue their community programs.


NEW TAMPA PLAYERS

Founded in 2002, New Tampa Players creates quality theatre by and for people of all abilities and backgrounds. Their goal is to be the leading example of excellence, diversity, and inclusion in our community.

NTP is a thriving community theater, currently located at the University Mall in the heart of Uptown. In early 2023, they are expanding to the New Tampa Performing Arts Center. They are most known for their Penguin Project productions. Each year, they produce one Penguin Project musical with a cast of 50-60 children and young adults with special needs. Their artists are matched with peer mentors who work with them through the whole rehearsal and performance process (6 months). These productions are junior length, but fully realized.


Friends of the County Parks & Recreation Inc

The Friends of the County Parks, established in 1988, is a group of concerned citizens joining together to promote financial and community support to the Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation, and Conservation Department. They develop public awareness of recreation as an important part of day-to-day life. Funds provided by The Friends of the County Parks are used as a supplement to help maintain, improve, and enhance services provided by the Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department.


WATER SMART TOTS FOUNDATION

Water Smart Tots Foundation was founded by and led by Founding Member Kariman Bahour. Since it’s inception in 2014 their mission is to combat pediatric drowning by promoting awareness through in-classroom water safety education and by providing scholarships for survival swim lessons to financially disadvantaged children in Tampa Bay.
